What's so unique about a coffeehouse? Coffeehouses originated in the Middle East in the early 1500s, spread to Vienna by 1529, and finally reached England in the mid-1600s. Since they came into existence, coffeehouses have been centers for socializing, conducting business, and exchanging ideas. In many places, coffeehouses were temporarily banned because of the political movements originating within their walls!
Based on this history, we believe that coffee is more than just a drink - it's a way of life. We hope that our coffeehouse becomes a center for ideas, culture, socializing, learning, and local revitalization. We expect you to come here to lounge with friends, study, work, read, have a date, participate in jam sessions and poetry readings, and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
